Uci Flowdea pioneered a timber business that was generally dominated by men. However, hard work and strong commitment led Uci to success that even surpassed the men.

It has been 15 years since the mother of two children has been in the wood export business. Actually Uci’s career began from working as a broker until finally a friend invited him to do wood business.

Having worked for other people, this woman from Surabaya ventured into entrepreneurship in timber exports. Armed with a network built when studying in Taiwan and Malaysia, Uci slowly but surely built his business.

Buyers from China are the focus of the Uci company because of its large and promising market share. The types of wood exported include sonokeling, gravel and jackfruit.

In his journey, it was not denied by Uci, there were challenges facing him. In the first two or three years, he had been tricked repeatedly by his own customers. Not to mention his figure as a woman is often underestimated by clients who on average are men.

In addition, his status as a single parent made Uci’s career journey even more challenging. However, these challenges motivated him to become a better woman entrepreneur.

Hard work never betrays results. By never giving up, Uci successfully built his business. Starting from seven employees, the company is now growing with the number of employees reaching hundreds. Previously, it was only able to rent land for a factory, now the Uci plant has been established on its own land in Pandaan, Pasuruan, East Java.

Success is proof that women who are also single parents are able to do everything. Without exception, working in a world dominated by men.

Often interacting with men on the other hand ‘keep’ Uci away from his personality as a woman who likes to preen. He needs a place to express himself as a whole woman.

Successfully pioneering the wood business, he also jumped into the world of entertainment. In 2017, he produced the film ‘Perfect Dream’, starring Wulan Guritno, Ferry Salim, and Olga Lydia.
