Iswanto Amperawan is one who likes the process of building multi-story buildings. No wonder he aspires to become a civil engineer and work as a contractor. This goal was achieved and currently, Iswanto has been successful with building construction services company, PT PP Presisi Tbk since 2017.
At the age of 52 years, Iswanto is believed to be the subsidiary boss of a state-owned enterprise (BUMN) construction. Iswanto himself was shocked because he worked more with technical positions than structural positions.
Despite having a lot of experience in his field, Iswanto prefers not to enter into the company’s structure. This he did so that he felt he could be more self-actualizing and contribute as much as possible to the field of science he learned, namely civil engineering.
Since childhood, Iswanto was born and raised in Sumatra. At that time, in Sumatera, there was very little construction of a multi-story building. So he decided to move from Bengkulu to Yogyakarta to continue his studies. After graduating from school, he took a course in Civil Engineering, Gajah Mada University (UGM). Iswanto graduated in 1991 with a concentration in the building.
Being an engineer in the field of technology in 1991 extending Iswanto was not difficult to find a job. After graduating from college, he worked at PTPP with his first position as a site engineer for one year. In 1992 Iswanto was trusted to handle various projects by being appointed as site engineering manager and site operation manager from 1992 to 1997.
Then in the same year, he also served as a project manager or general/technical advisor from 1994 to 2013. With this assignment, he focused on working in the technical section with various strategic projects such as the construction of Paser Hospital in East Kalimantan, Riau Main Stadium Pekanbaru, and the Pakansari Cibinong Stadium, Bogor.
